Hello! I am a freelance bassist and bass teacher in the Baltimore/Washington, DC area, based Frederick, MD, I am skilled in all styles of music, specializing in funk, jazz, and classical, on both bass guitar and upright bass.

I have been teaching since 2006, and have had multiple students go on to study music at college, including the Berklee School of Music, University of Maryland School of Music, and Shenandoah Conservatory.  I have also had many bass students play in Frederick's all-county and all-state orchestras and jazz bands.

I have performed as a freelance bassist in the Baltimore/Washington area since 2005, in jazz combos, rock bands, orchestras, and just about any other genre or ensemble.

My formal education began at Hood College in Frederick, where I obtained a B.A. in music, while studying bass with Jeff Weisner of the National Symphony Orchestra. I spent one year of postgraduate study at Manhattan School of Music in the studio of Jeremy McCoy, former assistant principal bass of the Metropolitan Opera.
